Language Project Coordinator
(3 Contingent Staff Workers)

Description
We are hiring a Language Project Coordinator to work on a project to manage the conversion of text materials from older digital formats to newer standard formats. The client needs to move all of its text based content to a standard form (XML) which can then be delivered through many old and new media types and channels to the languages of the world. This position will work primarily to manage the deliverables and flow of materials to volunteer and community resources that assist in assuring quality and enriching the text. Understanding of XML and some awareness of language text publishing desired. We are seeking individuals who are excited about working to deliver high quality solutions. This position is contingent. It is anticipated to last 5 -12 months with the possibility of conversion or renewal up to 2 years.

This position will operate within established methodologies, procedures, policies and guidelines. Eagerness to solve complex problems with professional techniques and proven principles. Willingness to engage closely with team and customers alike to create a valuable working experience for all. We need people that can focus on delivering high-quality solutions, quickly.

Qualifications
Requirements:
• Strong communication and problem solving skills.
• 2 - 5 years of relevant business administration, editing, project coordination, or language engineering experience required. International experience preferred.
• Detail oriented.
• BS required. MS MBA preferred.
• Knowledge of XML development and XQuery desired.
• Experience with Marklogic, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite desired.
• Multiple language skills and understanding of localization and internationalization principles desired.
• PROBLEM SOLVERS: Ideal candidates will be those that can willingly work from any new project, eagerly become an expert, and find create solutions to the problems they face.
